Hard shelled cardboard circular box, covered with red , creme and blue cotton flower fabric.
Inside is an embroidered petal shaped fabric sample, supporting a birds nest.
Twigs and hay with three small aged birds eggs. Stuffed blue yellow and green bird placed inside the nest good condition.
Made me think about Assorted box's and collections, Fur coats the vintage culture, old fashion surface patterns, interesting objects found at the market. If this object was placed in a museum or
gallery the piece would look inappropriate and out of place. The beauty of the object is in the eye of the beholder and is very specific to taste.
Object two:
Stacked up vintage cardboard boxs, printed logos. Use of masking tape and staples to construct the box's together. From cereals logo's too house hold appliances. The box's date back to the sixtie's.
Made me think of descarded rubbish, big quantity's and collectors.
The boxs work because of its surroundings,the layouts and the objects placed around the shop. These objects would be seen as rubbish if placed in a museum or market stall space.
Object 3Bethnal Green Mueseum of Chidhood-
complete dolls house. Two stories the exterior are made out of wood and glass.The interior is made out of wood, ceramic tiles stainless steel and fabrics.The house is put together with nails, screws and door fastening.Earthy colours are used, greens creams and browns.Minature objects for specific rooms, stainless steel pots and pans. wooden floors. Delicate and detailed workmanship.Is a reminder of my youth. Makes me think of the period house holds,classic fairytales, content homely feel. This object could be placed at a market stall or a boutique. Very aged and vintage and without the historical background can still translates as a beautiful work of art.
